found a serial # generator easy506th.netfirms.com/asn_gen.phpsuggest make "authentic" serial numbers for unit members. easiest way to do this is select draftee, NC as area of induction and last 6 of ssn my s/n is 14436097

I second Sgt Parsons' request for Serial Numbers. As parachutist, we would be volunteers therefore our SN would start with 1. If you are from NC the next number would be 4.
All personnel please get these numbers turned in. We have paperwork which needs these numbers on them.

Lt, some of the guys are using different states than NC for their SN, which is ok. We just need them.
Guys, I need Serials from these people PMd to me ASAP:
Sgt Sean Kelly (reaffirm) 2Lt Barlow (need entire serial number, number on roster is wrong)

Would it only be 1 for volunteers or would there be a few draftees in the paratrooper ranks? Mine starts with a 3 because I figured if I were alive during the war, I would probably have been drafted, but would have joined the airborne to serve with the best.

Paratroopers were mainly volunteers. Those who were drafted would be leg infantry. You do not get drafted then chose where you wanted to go.
